I have used this product to inflate bicycle tires successfully on several occasions, used the DC outlet to recharge a GPS, and yesterday my car battery (2000 Honda Civic) went dead so i got a chance to try the jump starter. Worked fine and was able to jump start the car several times.
Downsides to the product: inverter is a little noisy, and the initial charge time to charge this product takes 34 hours from an AC outlet.
Also the inverter switch is not behind a panel the way the other switches are; this would have been useful to have because it means I need to keep the product in its box to prevent the inverter switch from accidentally turning on if the device rolls around in my trunk. Read more...

Regardless of your company’s size and the requirements for your CRM (Customer Relationship Management) solution, the goal remains the same: learn more about your customers and leverage that knowledge into increased customer loyalty and improved sales.
However, too often companies jump into their CRM initiatives without the proper thought and planning. The result? A CRM system that does not meet critical organizational needs and fails to provide the proper insights into their customer base. Or perhaps worse–a CRM system that is not used at all. The key to success for your CRM implementation is not just the technology driving your solution, but in the strategy itself.
To achieve CRM success, there are 3 steps every company must follow before starting to consider CRM technology: Read more...

Bought this unit to quickly set up and run an A/C powered camera and ethernet hub in the field for about 5hrs. Works great. The battery inside is an SEL CB17-12 if you care to Google for the specs (12v 17 amphrs). I tested my load on a car bat w/another inverter and it all drew ~250ma @12vcdc. On the Electromate I get 5hrs which is shorter than anticipated, for one thing it shuts down the inverter when the internal DC drops below 10.9v. Also, there inverter has a fan that is always on that draws ~250ma @12vdc. B&D tech support says I can use the jumper-cables to a car battery and continue to use the AC inverter to extend the time. They warn to not to run the inverter while charging it thru the 12vdc as it will burn up the charge circuit, just use the jumper-cables and turn the main power switch on – I’ll have to try that. Note that the advice elsewhere about keeping it charged and stored cool.. The spec sheet for the battery tells the story- expect a short life (1.5-3yrs?) if you keep it hot and dont keep it charged. Looks like a replacement bat is ~US. Read more...

If you’ve considered buying a home, you should keep thinking along those lines. This time of year is a good time to buy, particularly in December to January and March to April. Although foreclosure increases have changed the mortgage rates in the last year, home prices have continued to go down to compensate for the mortgage rates.
If you have about 10 percent of your desired home’s price saved up, you’re at an even better starting point to buy a home. If you can afford to stay in a home for more than five years, you can ride out the costs of a home such as the closing costs and the slowly rising appreciation rate.
Home ownership is a secure way to obtain financial security and assets. Unfortunately, rising costs of homes have kept many younger people from buying homes until much later in life. Fortunately, the last few years have brought lower costs of homes in major states like California and Arizona, which can help many younger people jump into home ownership at a smart price. You may have asked yourself after losing a chess game to your thirteen year old daughter – “She always beats me, how can I always win at chess?” Actually, no one can guarantee that you can do just that. But there are some things you can do and should not do. These things are meant sincerely – even though they should be obvious. Don’t take on a Grandmaster if you are a new player – unless you have an IQ of 200 or higher. Don’t play if you are intoxicated. Don’t play if you are distracted. Don’t play if your opponent wears a t-shirt that says something like “I live, eat and breathe chess”. Don’t play if you are a “weak” player. Don’t play if you suspect your opponent may cheat (especially if there is a wager on the game). Read more...

Scenes of Michael Jordan busting through the lane and jumping over people to dunk the basketball light up the television screen to our day. And it makes us dream of being able to leap that high and dunk on a 10 foot rim. Do you wish that you could jump that high and glide through the air? Even if you are short in height you can develop a larger leap.
Let’s move away from the scene of Michael Jordan and pay attention to some other players. Spud Webb is considered one of the best dunkers of all time. He is listed between 5’6″ and 5’7″ in height. Nate Robinson of the New York Knicks is listed at 5’8″ and recently has won an NBA All-star Dunk championship. Read more...

A DCC controller system will create a major advantage for your model train system. Not only will you be able to control it with electricity, you will have complete control of the entire system, which is very impressive when you are dealing with model trains. Honestly, you can have a basic train set that goes around the track and occasionally switches tracks, but when you have a Digital Command Control system, you can make your scene really come to life!
You can actually create your own programs, and cause the trains to move realistically. This is great for train shows and public displays, and is a model train operator’s dream. There are a few different systems out there, some of them better than others, but since many people are just starting out with their DCC systems, so let’s do a DCC controller comparison, starting with the lowest end system out there.
