The Power to Get the Job Done Safely

The heart of the Duracell Powerpack 300 is a sealed, non-spillable 12 ampere-hour AGM battery. The Powerpack can be safely and conveniently recharged from any household AC outlet or DC cigarette-lighter outlet, making it ready to go whenever you need it. This robust battery is tied to a power inverter that provides 300 watts of power to its two grounded AC outlets and one DC socket. Multiple outlets give you the flexibility and convenience to operate several appliances at once, while the battery level indicator dynamically monitors the Duracell Powerpack’s charge level. Internal circuitry ensures long inverter life by protecting against overload and over-temperature conditions. An audible alarm also signals during overheating and under-voltage situations, alerting you to any possible safety concerns.

Powerpack 300 Protects You On the Go

Powerpack’s 12-amp battery can jump start most 4-cylinder engines with its included jumper cables. A reverse polarity detector further ensures your safety by disallowing power transfer in the event that the jumper cables are connected to the incorrect battery terminals. Duracell Powerpack 300 also provides ample power to recharge cordless and cellular telephones. At the same time, small appliances, laptops, televisions and portable stereos will run for hours. Long battery life and an integrated, detachable ultra-bright LED flashlight mean you’ll never be left in the dark.

Perfect for Outdoor Adventures

From remote job sites to the family picnic, Duracell Powerpack’s portability makes it an excellent choice for any outdoor adventure. It is strong enough to run power tools and equipment in the wilderness. The 300-watt power inverter also lets you bring some of the comforts of home to your campsite or outing. Small appliances, portable coolers, laptops, televisions and gaming consoles will run for hours. Duracell Powerpack 300 means you’ll never be left in the dark. If planning a longer trip without an access to a traditional power source, small, unregulated 12 V solar panels, rated to produce a maximum of 2.5 A (or 30 W), can be used to charge the Duracell Powerpack through the AC charger input socket. Please refer to users’ manual for instructions.

Duracell Instant Jump-start System Protects You On the Go
The Instant Jump-start System’s 17-amp battery can jump-start most 4- and 6-cylinder engines with the included jumper cables. A reverse polarity detector ensures your safety by disallowing power transfer in the event that the jumper cables are connected to the incorrect battery terminals. Duracell Instant Jump-start System also provides ample power to recharge cellular telephones and other portable electronics devices, while the built-in emergency light provides plenty of illumination to keep you out of the dark, and can be used to signal others if you are stranded.

I was about to buy this jumpstart system from amazon and noticed that Target had it instore for around cheaper (look at more buying options to the right of your screen and find it instore if the store is in your area).

Things to note before you decide to go buy the jumpstart system.

1. Look at the cranking AMPs (ampere is quantity of electric charge). You want to look for something above 400 AMPs , this Duracell has about 400 AMPs. I personally prefer LOOKING at my battery in my car and getting a jumpstart system with around the same crank amps as my batteries CCA( cold crank amps) at 0 F, the battery has this rating on it. Note: The more the amps the more your pay.
Do not look at the peak AMPs rating, those are manufacture ratings so rather useless.

2. Avoid all the bells and whistles, trust me, just go for what you buying, a jumpstart system. Okay may be a polarity reversal alarm and a flash light on it and a 12 volts cigarette connector.

3. Differentiate between a battery charger and a jump starter. Read what you are getting.

4. What car are you buying it for? SUV (V8) need more power than four cylinders(smaller cars). Again do not go for a 300 amp jumpstart system on a SUV, you setting yourself for disappointment, spend a little more, feel more comfortable.

5. AC charger for this jumpstart system comes is 13.8 Vdc, 400 mA. Do not use anything else to charge it, this is because you cause fluctuations to your jumpstart system, thus messing it up, so keep your AC charger safe, that is do not misplace it.

6. Jumpstart systems are not buy and forget systems, take care of it it will take care of you. I bought this jumpstart system and left it my car for a week in temps that were 0 F to 10 F, the cables froze and cracked, had to get a new one, wish the cables were more rubber than plastic. The cables couldn’t withstand the low temps, that is why I am rating it a 4/5.

All in all, it is a decent system but will not start a dead battery ( I prefer looking for one that can start a dead battery next time) and it will not withstand high or low temps.Best setting 32 to 104 degrees Fahrenheit is ideal.

Charge is once a month, test it regularly, let it charge for 48 hours when you get it and charge it after use, do not leave it in your trunk!

Customer Reviews

Very handy tool – S. J. Norton – Michigan, USA
I originally purchased this portable battery to power a CPAP machine while camping, and the cigarette-lighter-style plug lets you power anything designed to accept 12 volt power. But on the same camping trip, I ended up having to jump our car with it, and it did fine. I’ve used it for the same thing since.

It’s reasonably compact, stores the cables neatly, and has a good handle. It’s heavy, but not overly so. I haven’t tried to jump a car with a completely dead battery, but so far this has been very handy for us.

Jump started a dead battery – L. Anderson – Chicago, IL USA
Battery was completely – and I mean completely dead. Instant Jumpstart system was hooked up, left sitting for 30 minutes and vehicle cranked with no problem.

Superb, life saving item. – Dr. T. – Plano, Texas
At first I was about to buy a Target store item but when I read the reviews I choce Duracel. Still I was skeptical if this can restart a Honda Odessy Van.!? It did again and again even without recharging. It’s Amazing.

I purchased this product for camping trips with its main use for my CPAP machine, but I used it for other electronic items as well. It worked perfectly and as advertised, and it was so quiet I did not even know it was in the camper with us. It arrived in perfect condition and ready to use. It recommended that it be charged for 48 hours, which I did and it took the charge with no problem and was ready to go. The product is of great guality and all of the features of the product seem in fine working condition. I plan on using this product with many different items and using it for a long time to come. I also feel safe knowing that it can be used to jump start my vehicle if needed. I am glad that I purchased this Duracell product over others that I looked at. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a portable power source for small electronic appliances, power tools, or vehicle battery support. I could not be happier with my product and how easy it was to purchase, and the way it was delivered to me.

The Power to Get the Job Done Safely
The heart of the Duracell Powerpack 600 is a sealed, non-spillable 28 ampere-hour AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) battery. The Powerpack can be safely and conveniently recharged from any household AC outlet or DC cigarette-lighter outlet, so that it is ready to go whenever you need it. This robust battery is tied to a power inverter that provides 600 watts of power to its three grounded AC outlets and one DC socket. Multiple outlets give you the flexibility and convenience to operate several appliances at once, while the 3-digit barograph LED indicator dynamically monitors the Duracell Powerpack’s battery charge level. Internal protection circuitry ensures long inverter life by safeguarding against overload and over-temperature conditions. An audible alarm also signals during overheating and under-voltage situations, alerting you to any possible safety concerns.

On-The-Go Emergency Protection
The Powerpack’s 28-amp battery can jump start most 8-cylinder engines with its included jumper cables. A reverse polarity detector further ensures your safety by disallowing power transfer in the event that the jumper cables are connected to the incorrect battery terminals in error. Duracell Powerpack 600 also provides ample power to recharge and operate cordless and cellular telephones. At the same time, it can operate emergency lights, televisions and a wide range of DC-powered products. A built-in AM/FM clock-radio provides access to news and emergency broadcasts, while the built-in emergency light provides extra illumination to keep you out of the dark and to signal to others if you are stranded.

Perfect for Outdoor Adventures
From remote job sites to the family picnic, Duracell Powerpack’s portability makes it an excellent choice for any outdoor adventure. It is strong enough to run power tools and equipment on the job site or in the wilderness. The 600-watt power inverter also lets you bring some of the comforts of home to your campsite or outing. Small appliances, portable coolers, laptops, televisions and gaming consoles will run for hours. With an ultra-bright built-in LED light, Duracell Powerpack 600 assures that you’ll never be left in the dark. If planning a longer trip without an access to a traditional power source, small, unregulated 12 V solar panels, rated to produce a maximum of 2.5 A (or 30 W), can be used to charge the Duracell Powerpack through the AC charger input socket. Please refer to the Powerpack users’ manual for instructions.

Comes Equipped with Everything You Need
The Duracell Powerpack 600 includes several convenient accessories. Compatible jumper cables allow you to jump start your vehicle without the need to connect to another car battery. The AC adapter recharges the unit from any standard wall outlet and stows away inside the unit when not in use. A DC charging cable can be inserted into any standard cigarette-lighter outlet, providing re-chargeability on-the-go in any automobile, boat, or RV. A versatile accessory bag is also included for storage.

Powered my wife’s therapudic adjustable bed – A. Nonymous – Wash DC
My wife has a therapudic adjustable bed that is rated at 600 watts. When the power goes out, the bed can be in any position and this can be a big problem if the power is out for a long time. After buying this unit, the power did go out and this unit powered the bed and some lights very nicely. It was really a life saver. I think anyone with medical equipment that needs to be available at any time should have one of these!

Saved my life – K. Jordan – Asheville, NC United States
I have sleep apnea and purchased this product to use on a week-long camping and biking excursion. I use a CPAP machine at home and knew it would help my cycling performance if I could use it whilst camping. I was expecting this product to power my CPAP machine for about four hours a night. I was very happily surprised to find it worked for the duration of my sleeping (probably averaging seven hours per night) while also charging cell phones and cameras. It is heavy, but re-charges easily in a car. In short, it worked like a dream.

Works Great – better than expected. – C. Fisher –
Just used this for the first time on the 4th of July and it lasted all day. 10am to 11pm. We went to the beach and of course wanted music. This powered the ipod and speakers for 13 hours. We were thrilled; thought it would give out long before we were ready to leave. It also charged 2-4 phones during the day, maybe more I lost track. I’m a 5’4 female and I can easily carry this. It charges fully in about 4 hours. I highly recommend this.

Customer Reviews

CHARGING IS COMPLETED!!! – Patrick Mckinnon – Austin, TX
This thing is so terrible… I managed to air up one flat tire before the battery was low.

Now, when I plug it in within 1 minute it starts saying “CHARGING IS COMPLETED!!!” really loud every minute. Why on earth would I want a voice indicator that this stupid thing is charged? Do I want it to wake me up in the middle of the night?! Not to mention, it doesn’t actually charge. The status confirms “BATTERY IS LOW!!!” as soon as I unplug it.

What a piece of junk. Terrible design, awful, ridiculously loud, and pointless voice command, and it is broken after hardly any use.

This is just a junky Xantrex box that Duracell wrapped a stupid voice command module on and did no quality control for. Don’t buy this!

Junk, run away – Dylan Fahey – Alturas CA
This would not charge. Nothing worked. Find something else to spend your money on.

Disappointed…… – T. Fuchs – Buffalo, NY
The main reason I got this was for inflating kids toys such as small baby pools, rafts, etc and other inflatables. I assume that if this device did tires, it would do the inflatable toys. I guess I should not have “assumed”. I don’t recall reading that in the intial description of the item but maybe my fault for not reading it better before i bought. I have not even tried the rest of the unit but am concerned with the other reviews about not enough power. Also, the compressor hose looks like someone use electric tape on it as it is unraveling. At least the light works!! Stay tuned.

Loved the concept but poor device – F. Nasser – California
I bought this item as a Gold Box deal and was somewhat doubtful how well it will work since it received below average reviews. But I decided to give it a shot and knowing that amazon has a great return policy, I knew there was nothing to lose. So once it came, I carefully followed and read the manual making sure to do what it says. It requires a good thorough charge of I believe 2 days (48hrs) and then after using it, it requires another 36hrs of a charge, which isnt bad assuming that it wont be used on a daily basis ofcourse. So after completely reading the manual, I left it charging but no later than 1 hour, it says that the charge was complete. I was kind of confused at this point because it need a charge of 2 days. But never the less, I left it charging for 2 days realizing that it probably only is carrying an hours worth of battery life. So now I tested it out by using the flash light and the computered voice says that it will last for 2 hours long on flash light mode, when it was suppose to last much longer than that. This is where I knew something wasn’t right. I charged it again hoping it will do something different but with no success, I decided on returning it. The return was very easy, since it was a faulty device, UPS came to pick it up at my door and I opted to get another one because I wanted it to work. So once I received the other powerpack, it was the same and similar problem that it wouldn’t carry a sufficient charge during the initial set up. Again, after the first charge, no more than 2 hours, it says it is fully charged but when I tested the air supply unit, it last for only an 1 hour when it was suppose to last for much longer than that. I heard that this device comes charged half way but when the instructions clearly state to give it an initial charge of up to 48 hours and it says that it is fully charged after an hour, I knew something was wrong. I tested it and still to no avail, it would not supply enough power and would not last long enough as mentioned in the manual book.

In the manual, it clearly states that when the powerpack is fully charged, using the flash light should last XX hours. Using the air supply should last XX hours, etc. I tested it and it didn’t last as long as it should. Not worth my money.
I picked this up on the Deal of the Day for under 50 bucks, so far so good. Has the light, to 120′s, jumper cables, compressor cord and cigarette lighter port. Very versatile in my opinion, has all the lights to tell you how much battery power is left. The true test will come when the weather breaks and bike tires have to be blown up and sports balls also. Am looking forward to use while camping. I will check back in then.

The Power to Get the Job Done Safely
The heart of the Duracell Powerpack 300 is a sealed, non-spillable 14 amp-hour AGM battery. It can be safely and conveniently recharged from any household AC outlet or DC cigarette-lighter outlet, making it ready to go whenever you need it. This robust battery is tied to a power inverter that provides 300 watts of power to its grounded AC outlet and 12-volt DC socket. The barragraph LED indicator dynamically monitors the Duracell Powerpack’s battery charge level. Internal circuitry ensures long inverter life by protecting against overload and over- temperature conditions. An audible alarm also signals during overheating and under-voltage situations, alerting you to any possible safety concerns.

Customer Reviews

Disappointing – Web Bargain-er – Silicon Valley
did not charge when first received it. after searching on web, it needs to charge by car first. after charging it while commuting to work, finally got full power.
tried to inflate a tire with it, made the tire flat instead. far to weak to be any use.
now just hoping it’s good enough to run some small appliance for camping.

good backup in the trunk – Sidney Okamoto –
Ive used the air tire inflator , and its not powerful, but it does the job…There is a small flashlight that stays charged by the unit…Could come in handy…I havent used the jumper unit itself, but it looks easily accessed…It already came precharged, but i plugged it in for 48 hours as the manual states to do…Might come in handy one day..

Smoke coming from compressor!! – Doug A. – Lyons, CO United States
I’ve had this unit for a couple of years & don’t use it very often. Overall it’s not too bad, and most of my usage is keeping my motorcycle tires inflated. Last time I used the compressor portion I smelled smoke – I looked a little further & it was coming from the compressor side of the unit. I had only topped off the bike tires, and the unit had run for less than 5 minutes total. So be careful if planning on using the compressor for any kind of large jobs like car tires.
