At first glance and feel this unit feels like it is sturdy. It is also well designed in that the layout of all the features feel right. My primary reason for purchase was backup jumpstart capability as well as to have a compressor on board for tire fillups. The first time I went to jumpstart my mini-truck I hooked up the cables per directions, turned the junction switch on the back and got nothing. I thought maybe I didn’t charge the unit long enough although it read 14 volts, right in the recommended range. So I played with it a little bit and realized that you need to force the junction switch over to the on position and past it to “try” to make a connection to the point where it feels that it is about to snap. The design or manufacture of this switch is flawed. You shouldn’t have to play with it and force anything in order to make it work. I have ordered a new one and am returning the old one in the hopes that it was maybe a fluke. Will update once I get the new unit.
