I had a battery that only provided enough power to make a click when turning the key. I ordered this, charged it for a day and hooked it to my battery. Finding the proper grounding spot is critical. I was alerted to the fact that I found a good ground finally after the 2004 Nissan Frontier Pickup’s interior lights came on and the ding (key in ignition with open door) started blaring. The truck started right up.

I then later used it to start a battery in a 2000 Mustang. The battery was very drained and the car would not start, similar to the above scenario. Found the ground spot and the car started. After plugging the device back up, in less than an hour it was fully recharged.

I recommend a standard orange extension cord for this. The male end in the charger is recessed and you’ll need a cord with an inline female socket that will plug directly in.

Overall, a reliable unit. I owned a different model with a charging cradle. This one comes without a power cord. Dear Schumacher people, why can’t you include a power cord? I have to charge it. I paid you money. So why do I have to run looking for a power cord?

I conveniently broke down in front of a hardware store. I went in and found this product. I opened it up and pushed the battery status button. It showed yellow status (50% to 75%), so I figured it was worth a try.

Took it out to my car and started it instantly. The instructions say to charge it for 36 hours first so I thought it was outstanding that it would start the car with the residual charge from the factory.

I purchased this product in 2007 and used it several times. It works although a few adjustments should be made.

a) don’t know when the product is out of product or needs a charge.
b) male power socket should allow for more room for female plugs
c) car charger is rather useless since it takes about 4-8 hrs to get a full charge.

But it.. but maintain it by charging it very month or three to make sure you have it ready to go. It is truly a life savor when you need it.

I purchased this product for camping trips with its main use for my CPAP machine, but I used it for other electronic items as well. Powered my wife’s therapudic adjustable bed – A. Nonymous – Wash DC
My wife has a therapudic adjustable bed that is rated at 600 watts. When the power goes out, the bed can be in any position and this can be a big problem if the power is out for a long time. After buying this unit, the power did go out and this unit powered the bed and some lights very nicely. It was really a life saver. I have sleep apnea and purchased this product to use on a week-long camping and biking excursion. I use a CPAP machine at home and knew it would help my cycling performance if I could use it whilst camping. I was expecting this product to power my CPAP machine for about four hours a night. I was very happily surprised to find it worked for the duration of my sleeping (probably averaging seven hours per night) while also charging cell phones and cameras. It is heavy, but re-charges easily in a car. In short, it worked like a dream.

Dealing with credit on your own can be daunting; trying credit repair on your own can seem impossible. And unlike the intrepid Dr. Jones, you can’t just close your eyes until it all goes away, unfortunately. But don’t fret too much – it’s not quite as bad as fighting off a horde of poisonous snakes. Here are some quick tips to help you get started:

· To start, you need to obtain a copy of the report itself. You can obtain a free copy once every 12 months at annualcreditreport.com. The first thing you’ll usually want to check is all your personal information the bureaus have listed in your report; make sure you are who they say you are. If there are any name or social security variations that are not yours, challenge it with the credit bureaus. If you’re really lucky, that could solve most of your problems right there.

· But if you’re still reading, I’m guessing it didn’t. So, you’ll have to delve deeper into the report and start looking through your credit history at the actual account trade lines themselves. Hopefully, you’ve kept good records on your accounts, or are blessed with a hell of a memory, so if there are any inaccuracies in your trade lines, you’ll find them. Anything from the wrong opening and closing dates on an account to incorrect balances can show up and should be challenged if they do.

· Don’t think you were late on that Visa card? Or that you ever even had that account with AT&T? And they’re trying to charge you HOW MUCH in late fees? Anything on your report looks off, send a letter to the credit bureaus, challenging the accounts you believe are wrong. By law, they are required to respond to your credit inquiries within 30 business days of receipt of your dispute with corrected copies of your credit report.

· And what about the accounts on there that are correct? Regarding your credit card balances, your best option is to keep paying them down until, ideally, they’re down to around 30% of your limit. This obviously looks much better on your credit report than a 50% balance or an overdrawn account.

· The same goes for any other outstanding balances you may have as well – work out a payment plan and try pushing for a lower interest rate and work towards paying the accounts down and closing them. If you’ve been a relatively good customer, they’ll want to keep you, because they know they’ll continue to earn money off the interest you pay (even if they reduce it), so ask for a lower rate. Just make sure to keep a close eye on your report in the following months to make sure the accounts are updated properly.

Follow these easy steps, and the next time you take a look at your credit report, you shouldn’t have to worry about it melting your face. Probably.

So around last year I started browsing for portable battery jump starters with air compressors online. To my surprise, I did not find too many websites offering them, not as much as I presumed anyway. I want to get one for my Dad, he would love it. I’ve recently discovered that some battery jump starters have the “all-in-one” features of built-in light and power source and inverter!

As you all know, keeping your tires properly inflated is one key way to maximize performance and gas mileage for your vehicle. It reduces the “drag.” Experts estimate that you can improve your gas mileage by up to 3.3 percent with proper tire pressure. That’s a savings of about $0.11 per gallon. I

know that does not sound like much, but with gas prices at record highs, every bit helps. Under-inflated tires, however, can lower gas mileage by as much as 0.4 percent for every 1 psi drop in pressure of all four tires. Plus, properly inflated tires are actually safer and last longer. Remember to always look for the maximum psi on your tires before you get carried away pumping. I always keep a Vector 400 amp jump starter with air compressor in the trunk of my car. What’s so cool is that it even has a pressure gauge to read the psi while pumping the tires.

As far as jump starting your car, always follow the safety tips and read the manual of your jump starter.

Also, experts recommend to wear polycarbonate goggles with the designation Z-87 on the frame that are splash-proof and designed for activities like automotive repair.

Again, there are even more uses for a portable battery jump starter with a power source. The portable 12 volt power source can power up small electrical devices while camping for instance. I even jammed on my electrical guitar with my friend outside at a park while hooking up my mini amplifier to my portable jump starter with power source!

So, even if you never have to use your portable battery jump starter to jump start your own car, you may have the opportunity to help a friend or neighbor in need of a jump start. They may need their tires inflated with a portable air compressor.

One feature the Windows 7 Starter edition has that all the other editions have is the improved desktop navigation. This is done through a few different ways. One is with the new taskbar. On other operating systems you are stuck with having the icons show up in the order you opened them. With the new taskbar, you decide where they go. You will also have many different ways to view the windows with the new navigation. In the past, you could only view one window at a time. With Windows 7 you have three options for viewing windows. You can have multiple windows of different sizes open on your screen at one time with the snap feature. With the peek feature you can just put your mouse on a window when you have multiple open and it will allow you to see just that one.
